Musical Magic Room

kanipad
As soon as we arrive, we set up a Musical Magic Room—a sensory-rich STEAM space designed to engage pupils with PMLD, MSI, VI, and HI. Activities are tailored to spark creativity, encourage exploration of cause and effect, and celebrate every learner’s ability to make music. Pupils might play notes using Play-Doh, leaves, or even by moving their faces—showing that with a touch of STEAM magic, everyone can be musical. We adapt our approach to suit each pupil’s mobility and interests, ensuring an inclusive and meaningful experience for all.

Lesson Aims

This workshop aims to inspire pupils to use technology purposefully and accessibly. Activities are designed to help them understand cause and effect, improve attention span through focused, engaging tasks, and encourage peer interaction through shared experiences in music and sound creation. Pupils explore music in a multi-sensory way, using familiar everyday objects to connect learning with their own reality. Sessions last 20 to 45 minutes with small groups of 2 to 5 pupils, depending on individual needs.
