Key Stage 3 Workshop

Music Quests

pianokey colourmatched
Embark on a creative journey where game design and music creation come together! Pupils start with a blank canvas or themed template and connect movement to sound, with the computer improvising on a pentatonic scale. They build their own mini-world—underwater, in space, or deep in a dungeon—designing sound effects for every object they encounter. Using a built-in synthesiser and staff notation, they compose title music and reinforce musical concepts. Once complete, pupils set point challenges and share their games, making for a fun, inclusive, and imaginative classroom experience.
