Good morning everybody, it’s been a while, huh?

We are back with a new surprise, let’s work on a new device today, it’s called the micro:bit. We will use a new coding language, a new website, we’ll make a new instrument, and a new game!! Are you ready?

We have designed this workshop to show you the very many options that technology offers, in aid of music. We will transform our little friend, the micro:bit, into a musical instrument. And this is just the first experiment!

Please keep this tab open as we work on the code, as you may need to go back and forth.

Let’s open the Microsoft Block Editor (then click on Start This Editor)

Ok, now let’s add the blocks to make the first sound:

Button Press

Next, we need a note, this is the first one of ‘Music’ and please change the beat to 1/2
