Emma Williams

Emma is a freelance music leader and performs as a vocalist and keyboard player.

 

As a workshop leader, Emma has specialised in working with difficult to engage groups often in challenging settings including pupil referral units, young offenders institutes, youth centres and prisons.  For over 7 years Emma has worked for the Irene Taylor Trust on their <em>Music In Prisons</em> and <em>Making Tracks</em> projects in secure establishments and youth organisations across the UK working with NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people, ex-prisoners and people of all ages in prisons. Emma has also worked as a workshop leader for the Barbican, Creative Futures, Jessie’s Fund and in numerous independent bespoke ventures.

 

Emma’s work as a performer has seen her in many interesting collaborations and most notably as a vocalist working alongside artists as diverse as Take That, Rita Ora, George Michael and Muse to Sigma, Paloma Faith, Tim Rice, David Arnold, The Who and The Kaiser Chiefs.  Emma loves to travel and feels very fortunate that her work as a performer has taken her across the world.
