THIS HALF-TERM SCHOOL

is perfect for...

Students aged 9-12, with an interest in Music and Technology.

Parents and teachers eager to share opportunities with their children or students.

Anyone brand new to programming, looking for an introduction to this magic world.

We are having a lot of fun designing this course, we can’t wait to have you onboard!

Description

This fully online half-term school integrates STEM subjects with the arts.

Micro:MIDI creates a bridge between the purely digital world of coding and the hearty, tangible, emotional world of music and performance. This cross-disciplinary mixture enhances children’s motivation, sparks their curiosity and turbo-boosts their creativity.

You may go to a shop, buy an instrument, like a keyboard, and learn how to play it – and that’s awesome.

BUT, we can take you a step further.

Micro:MIDI allows you to design your own instrument, out of cardboard, household objects, drawings, anything around you. We will also take a deep dive into its brain and re-code its behaviour, using sensors and unexpected interactions: your heartbeat can change the pulse of the music, for real.

We mix Music, Technology, Coding and Art and have developed this method over 8 years, 8,000+ workshops in more than 500+ schools, across 20 countries. The complexity is hidden behind the music, the amusing rhythms and catchy melodies. We keep updating the lessons, based on your feedback. You will quickly master the basics of block coding, and this will be a great advantage when learning any other text-based programming language in the future.
